13 week weight loss challenge

The weight loss challenge is over!!!!!! I passed my goal. Not an easy thing to do, but I did it. Lots of hard work. I've put a lot of hours on the elliptical, the living room floor and the sidewalks in the hood. I even put some time in on the beach and in a neighborhood in Charleston. :) It's all worth it and I'm so glad I did it as I feel more confident. It's one less thing I need to be concerned with while on the cruise and being in a bathing suit as often as I plan to be. Thanks to my friends and family for your support and encouragement. A super large thanks to Patrick for always being there for me and running with me in the hood. I love you babe!

Weight Loss Challenge - Week 11

Wow! Only up 1.5 lbs after the bachelorette weekend. Woo hoo. So now I'm at 4 lbs to lose in 2 weeks. I'm sure that 2 lbs are water wight which will be easy. NO PROBLEM!

Weight Loss Challenge - Week 10

2.5 lbs! That's all I have left. 17.5 lbs lost in 10 weeks is pretty rockin! It's been a lot of work. This weekend (bachelorette) will be a challenge and I'm prepared to gain some weight but I still have 4 weeks until the wedding and I know that I can lose those extra pounds without any problems. I'm not going to go overboard, but I will be drinking and treat myself to a couple meals.

Weight Loss Challenge - Week 9

Yes! Yes! Yes! Another 2 lbs down this week. I'm noticing the results now more than ever. My arms and shoulders are making me do a double take in the mirror. My clothes are so loose. People are even saying things which is great. 5 weeks until the wedding, 5 lbs to lose. NO problem!

Week 8 of my 13 week weight loss challenge

Ooops!! I totally forgot to post my entry for last week. I guess I had a lot going on. :) I didn't lose or gain weight week 7. Which is good considering that Mom was in town, I had my Birthday dinner, Bridal Shower, and dinner w/ Mom and the future in-laws. Thinking back to my goal, I should have considered all of the parties and events leading up to the wedding before I started all of this!! It's harder than I had originally thought. My goal is still within reach and I have confidence that I will reach my 20 lb weight loss before the wedding. I've had so many challenges, between parties, vacations, work, health, and my most recent sports injury. There's still 6 more weeks until the wedding. With 7lbs to lose, that won't be too difficult. What's coming up??? Healing the Ankle, Mother's day brunch, Bachelorette weekend in Charleston, and Olivia's graduation weekend in Charleston. Those shouldn't be too difficult to work with. Right? Wish me luck.

Week 6 of my 13 week weight loss challenge

This was a rough week because I put in a LOT of overtime for work. For me, this meant comfort foods and not as many workouts. When I did workout I was also lacking energy, except of course when I was on the elliptical and read an e-mail that would irritate me, I would work out a little bit harder. I lost one pound this week which I'm completely happy with considering the week I had!! Mom came in last night and the first thing she said is, "Wow, you are so skinny". That makes it all worth it. When people notice. This weeks challenge is having mom in town and the bridal shower on Saturday. The motivator is that I have my first dress fitting on Friday!!!! :) I'm about 5lbs lighter than when I tried it on last and my arms are much more toned from doing weights so I'm really excited about how it's gonna look/feel!

Week 5 of my 13 week Weight Loss Challenge

I haven't really been feeling well this week, so I only lost a pound. This was my first week back to softball and it was really tough. I ended up playing a triple header on Sunday. Oh boy does my body ache. It's slowly starting to feel better. You would be amazed at how many extra muscles you use playing softball. Taking a day of rest today. A walk this evening w/ Patrick and Spirit may be the only exercise I get. I'll be right back at it tomorrow.

I'm not complaining a bit though. 10 lbs in 5 weeks is awesome!

Week 4 weigh in for my 13 weight loss challenge

This was a very good week for me. The weight gain from HHI is gone!! A lot of it was just water retention I'm sure, since I lost 4 lbs this week! It really does pay off to focus. The guys went out to celebrate after their big win last night and I just drank water and had a salad. Only 11 more lbs to lose in 9 weeks. 9 lbs lost in 4 weeks. Yay!

Well, the Hilton Head trip was a setback but I can recover and have plenty of time, so I'm not going to let that discourage me.  I know that I can still reach my goal.  Focus, Focus, Focus.

Week 2 weigh in for my 13 week Weight Loss Challenge

Today was the week two weigh in for my 13 week Weight Loss Challenge.  I lost 3 more pounds and down to only 13 more to lose!  Woo hoo!  All the workouts and focusing on eating healthy is paying off.  :)  I do have a challenge with the upcoming week as we are going to Hilton Head for a long weekend.  I need to continue to focus and not get out of control!  ;)

13 Week Weight Loss Challenge

As of today, there are exactly 13 weeks until our wedding in Bermuda. I had planned to get down to a set weight by our wedding but I have not been doing a good job at reaching that goal. I can still achieve that goal. The last time I weighed myself was last week when I started to focus more on my diet. That will be my starting weight.

Might I also add that I have a wager with my MOH. We are big sports fans. She's a huge Cowboys fan and I'm a Bills fan. The bet is this: If one or both of us don't lose the weight we have to go to a sports bar with each other. Loser/s must wear the other person's team jersey and cheer that team on. FYI - I hate the Cowboys with a passion.
