Accessorizing cruise wear

I went to Dillard's to buy make-up and I came across some sweet Jewelry deals.  They had a bunch of cool stuff on sale for 75% off.  Usually the items I see in that section are not much to look at, but my guess is that they must have just put out a lot of the pieces on clearance that day.  I totally hit the jackpot!!!  I paid anywhere from $3 - $7 for each.  I found 3 bracelets, 3 necklaces and 4 pairs of earrings.  Here's a sampling of some of the pieces.  Yay!!!

Rehearsal Dinner Dress

Took me a while to decide on the rehearsal dinner dress, but after looking hard and long I made my final decision last week. I wanted something bright and vibrant, with a cool pattern, but it wasn't out there. The dress I picked is black on the top and white on the bottom. It's classy and cute with a little bit of funky! :) Here are some pics of the top and bottom. You'll have to wait to see the full pic when I share our wedding album! :)

13 week weight loss challenge

The weight loss challenge is over!!!!!! I passed my goal. Not an easy thing to do, but I did it. Lots of hard work. I've put a lot of hours on the elliptical, the living room floor and the sidewalks in the hood. I even put some time in on the beach and in a neighborhood in Charleston. :) It's all worth it and I'm so glad I did it as I feel more confident. It's one less thing I need to be concerned with while on the cruise and being in a bathing suit as often as I plan to be. Thanks to my friends and family for your support and encouragement. A super large thanks to Patrick for always being there for me and running with me in the hood. I love you babe!

My weight loss goal is 20 lbs.

Wedding Jewelry is on the way

I will have a necklace, ring and earrings from the Dawn Vertrees Ocean Reef collection for my wedding jewelry.  She also custom made two necklaces that I'll be giving my bridesmaids.  None of the pieces are shown on her website.  To the right is a picture of the earrings and ring.   I received the ring recently and attached a picture of it below.  Once I receive the necklace I'll post a picture of the necklace.   They all have the fan coral and starfish.  The necklace also has a freshwater pearl.

The pictures do not do these pieces justice at all.  I fell in love with them when I saw them for the first time.  I haven't been able to find anything else that I would want more for my wedding.

They are just simply beautiful.  She has some incredible pieces on her website in other collections as well.  Be sure to check them out.   The Orchid and Bamboo collections are great also.

Song Choices ***UPDATED***

The wedding planner asked if I was interested in picking out songs for the wedding ceremony. I've listened to several of the songs and I really like some. Others were easy to cancel out. I think I've narrowed down the Signing of the Register and Recessional songs however I'm having some troubles deciding on the Processionals. Feel free to give me your opinion.

Initial thoughts:

Bridesmaid Processional: Prelude in D minor or Cavatina
Brides Processional: What a Wonderful World or Cannon in D
Signing Register: Faire - Andrew York
Recessional: And I love Her - Lennon/McCartney

After further thought I've changed it up again.  I'm going to verify with Patrick but I think these are the songs.  I've also provided some youtube video's so you can hear the songs on guitar.

Bridesmaid Processional:  Cannon in D
Brides Processional: What a Wonderful World
Signing Register: Cavatina
Recessional: Faire
